10 MUST HAVE HOME DECOR TRENDS FOR SUMMER 2020

I was browsing through H&M home website the other day and I was positively surprised with their collection and variety. I scrolled through the decor, took some inspiration and ordered few pieces for my home as well.

So, I thought I would shortlist and curate few ‘must have’ from their collection. Pieces that you can add and NOT burn a hole in your pocket, because we all know home decor can be really pricey!

WOODEN FLOWER POT

This dark brown wood planter could be the perfect touch of warm tone in your home.  The shape feels organic, rustic and yet modern. It can be styled with other plant pots to give a bit of texture and personality to the corner.  

CERAMIC VASES

I have shortlisted two of these ceramic vases here. They can be styled together as well as separately. Their light beige colour makes it easy to style around your house. May be because of their shape and structure, they give a certain contemporary feel to your house. Off-white colour gives a certain sense of calm and airy feel to your surroundings. I always like to add a hint of beiges/whites in my house to make it more welcoming.

FLOWER POT WITH MOTIF

This quirky flower pot has been on my Wishlist for months, but it always goes out of stock as soon as it is restocked. And, I always miss it. I feel such decor pieces are hard to come by at such affordable prices. 

Although, you could totally DIY this free hand. Just get a ceramic round bottom vase from a thrift store and use acrylic paint to draw the face motif. But, my skills are limited in the drawing area! 

I would style this flower pot with other ceramic pots shared above, to get ceramic overdose & lots of personality haha. 

RATTAN 

Rattan is currently trending . And, personally I can definitely get on board with this one trend. It’s up my alley. I love having having cane and rattan furniture in my house. It gives a really boho-chic and warm touch to a very modern looking house. Rattan adds that texture and feel of coziness. Rattan furniture can go up in prices , so I like having few small bits and pieces around. Like this coat hanger or a basket, which you can use to store extra cushions, throw blankets or toys in your kids room! Styling options are endless. 

SET OF 3 CUSHION COVERS

Adding cushions is a very economical way of elevating your home decor game. These set of 3 dark greyish/black tones are highly recommended. These are 65% cotton and 35% Jute. Its adds a bit of texture and can be used as throw pillows on your bed, on your couch as well as pool side. They are for 19,99Euros for a set of three. 

Set of 2 Round Placemats

Quickly moving onto some dining table essentials. These round placemats come is a set of two and 4 different shades to choose from.

I feel they are are must for your summer dining table set ups. They come in four different colours but my personal favourite has to be the grey one. 

SET OF 2 LINEN NAPKINS

Slowly things are getting back to normal and people are inviting guests for garden parties or evening drinks. This set of 2 Linen napkins which btw comes in 4 colours are just the accessory you need for your dining table set up. My pick has be the powder blue ones. CERAMIC JUG

This dark green glazed ceramic jug would be the perfect addition to your dinner table. It has got ombre of shades and just the pop colour. This comes in a set of 3 including this jug, a ceramic serving dish & a small bowl for dips/olives.You can buy them separately as well as together. I would highly recommend that you check them out.

ANNULAR LAMP BASE

This ring shaped ceramic base can be such a conversational starter. If you are decorating your new house or re-decorating, this is something that you must consider investing in. Its 100% ceramic and has the potential to ‘lit’ up any boring corner ;)

METAL HANGING LIGHTS

Good pendant lights are hard to come by at these affordable prices. These are super stylish and modern. It can be added to any corner of your house or may be on top of your kitchen island. They are available in gold as well but my pick has to be matte black finish.
