My take on distressed boyfriend denims

Distressed boyfriend jeans are in trend for a year now and people have come up with different ways to style them. Not just extremely comfortable, they are utterly stylish! Anyone and everyone can pull off this trend.

I too have my variations of styling them and I practically live in them! The downside being that they can be extremely costly, so I came up with the idea of DIY it myself. We all have atleast one jeans that we don’t mind cutting off, so just grab that denim and chop it off!! Its therapeutic, TRUST ME :p

I think white is going to be my color this summer. So, the first look is for all you fusion lovers out there. I paired a button down asymmetrical polyester shirt from Ajio, with my trusted ripped boyfriend denims.

For jewellery, I went little overboard with ethnic ‘chaandbalis’ which I got from my street shopping spree in Kolkata (just for 150 INR), and to give little pop of color to the white shirt, I attached colorful pompom earring to the collar of the shirt.

For makeup, I went ahead with bold ‘kohl eyes’ and neutral lips (wearing Maybelline Lip Gradation, Mauve 1) and completed the look with black canvas shoes and Gold & Green clutch.

This look can be worn to evenings or to functions where you don’t want to go with heavy ethnic pieces. This look will give you the right amount ‘desi’ ness and let you be ‘pataka’ that you already are! 😉

Second look is what I would like to call it my “ultimate masterpiece”!! This look is so simple yet so put together and street chic. I just love it, love it, louveeee it. 😛

I simply took a button down shirt (oversized shirt) from my husband’s closet wore a red corset top inside, paired with the same ‘ phati hui jeans’ and to give the whole look some dimension, I tied a belt around. Yes, this look is that simple to recreate.

I went with minimal jewellery, just an oxidized necklace which I wore as a choker. Makeup was pretty neutral just a blue eyeliner for that whole summer vibe. I completed the look with rose gold platforms, Rajasthani banjara clutch and rose gold shades which are street picked.

So these are two looks. Let me know in the comment section of what you think about them.

That’s all for this blog.

Till then keep shining!
